Les 48h de l’agriculture urbaine

Les 48h de l’agriculture urbaine

Tuesday, May 10, 2022

For the past four years, the Cité de l’agriculture has been coordinating the 48h de l’agriculture urbaine (48 hours of urban agriculture), a weekend-long festival celebrating the return of spring, agriculture and nature in the city.

Launched in 2016 in Paris by the association La Sauge, the event has gradually grown over the past few years and now brings together 17 cities in France and Europe and more than a hundred organising structures. In Marseille, around thirty project leaders are taking part in the action. This convivial event is an opportunity to unite the players in urban agriculture and to give visibility to local initiatives among the general public.

In 2021, the 48 hours of urban agriculture events were held in places such as the CCO Bernard du Bois, the Bouches-du-Rhône Horticulture and Arboriculture Society, the Share-Wood Forest, the Rubé Brewery, the Longchamp Collective Gardens and the Ruffi Garden. The Capri farm hosted a beekeeping workshop, a photo shoot, an urban walk, botanical walks, a flower champagne workshop, and an evening screening in partnership with Vidéodrome 2.

The 2022 edition has as its guideline “transformation in extra-short circuits”. Workshops, demonstrations and site visits will take place all around the city of Marseille.
