Empowering citizens through education on our CRFS – Velika Gorica LAB
One of the best ways to empower people is by providing them with knowledge. As part of our Velika Gorica Living Lab activity, we have shared this knowledge with over 300 children. Our goal was to give them a comprehensive understanding of our CRFS, so we decided to narrate the story of an apple to them.
Cities2030 – Velika Gorica LAB on GASTRO TUROPOLJA event
At this year’s event, the 22nd GASTRO TUROPOLJA, on Thursday, October 12th the Round table is organized with the topic Plan for prevention and reduction of food waste generation, where the Ministry of Agriculture will present the Plan, the City of Zagreb will present the Voluntary Agreement as signatories, as well as the goals and activities that are planned, and VG Čistoća (city waste association ) will present Biodegradable waste and the situation in the City.

Partners from IVM and Velika Gorica Lab will join forces and organize a panel discussion on ‘Sustainable and just transformations of city-region food systems: The case of Velika Gorica’. More specifically, the session with be joined by Violeta Crnogaj and Blanka Kovač Walaitis from the Development Agency of the City of Velika Gorica – VE-GO-RA, Mario Konić from Inventive Solutions Ltd. and Stella Archontaki from IVM, Vrije Universiteit Amsterdam.
[Call to action] Survey on current food system & needs in Velika Gorica
The Cities2030 project – Lab Velika Gorica – collects the current state and needs of local producers and consumers in order to create an action plan for improving the local food system. Inputs from citizens and producers are an important link in the further organization of project activities.
